The books I read in September | Wrap Up

Hi Bookworms!

Today I am here to discuss what books I read throughout the month of September.

I had an amazing reading month, I read a total of 17 books which is insane for me!! I usually read less than five so I am really proud of myself for this.

Graphic novels: 1

Novels: 2

Manga: 14

Anyway, here are the books that I read during September:

The Crucifix Killer by Chris Carter

This was a reread for me and I liked it the second time just as much as the first. This series of books have to be my favourite ever crime novels because they have me hooked from the first page and I literally read them in one sitting.

4.5 stars. 🌟✨

Heartstopper (volumes 1 and 2) by Alice Oseman

I can’t even. These books were so cute and made me so happy and feel so warm inside and it was so lovely.

5 stars for volume one and 4.5 stars for volume two. 🌟✨

Tokyo Ghoul (volumes 1 and 2) by Sui Ishida

I seriously love this manga series so much. The first volume was a reread for me and I enjoyed it even more the second time around! These books have such an interesting plot and I can’t wait to read more.

4 stars for both. 🌟✨

Horimiya (volume 1) by Hero

I read this manga on my kindle in an eBook format which I must admit did ruin this book for me. I wasn’t too crazy about the story, either. I did enjoy it, but it wasnt the best.

3 stars.🌟✨

Fullmetal Alchemist (volumes 1-5) by Hiromu Arakawa

OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THESE BOOKS SO MUCH. I genuinely couldn’t be more invested in a series of manga. The characters are so loveable (Winry is my favourite) and I really enjoy the story.

I’ve rated all apart from one book 5 stars, and that other volume I rated 4.5 stars. 🌟✨

Goodnight Punpun (volume 1) by Inio Asano

The cover is what made me buy this book because it is my favourite colour!

I found this book really odd. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it but it isn’t my favourite.

3 stars. 🌟✨

Jane Eyre (manga edition) by Stacy King and Charlotte Bronte

Jane Eyre is my favourite classic and when I saw a manga version I just knew I had to buy it and I am so glad I did!

4 stars. 🌟✨

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

This is a book that was really disappointing to me. HOWEVER, I did enjoy the writing which I thought was beautiful. I just wasnt very invested in the story.

3 stars. 🌟✨

Fence (volume 1) by C. S. Pacat

This graphic novel is so enjoyable! I haven’t read anything like it before and I hope to pick up the next one soon.

4 stars. 🌟✨

The Promised Neverland (volumes 1 and 2) by Kaiu Shirai

I read both of these books in one sitting! This is definitely high on the list of manga series that I love and I can’t wait to continue on.

5 stars for both. 🌟✨

Those are all the books I have read in September! So many new favourites, I couldn’t be happier.

Thanks for reading!
