May and June Wrap-Up!

Hello!

I read some fabulous books in May and June and I just want to share them!

Over the two months I read 8 books.

I know that isn’t a lot, but I have been incredibly busy! I have been on my nursing placement, as well as working part time on top of that for some money. Also, I moved house too! So busy.

But anyway, here are the books that I read in May and June 🌞

1-3. Death Note volumes 3-5 by Tsugumi Ohba

In April, my Manga addiction started which caused me to spend a lot of money in Forbidden Planet and motivated me to finally pick up Death Note! In May I read volumes 3-5, all of which I really enjoyed!

I rated Death Note 3 and 5 four stars, and Death Note 4 three stars. ⭐️

4. Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman

This book had been on my TBR for ages so when I felt like reading a contemporary book I picked it up. Starfish was incredible! I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with the characters, it kept me up all night reading it and it was all I could think of for a couple of days.

I rated it five strong stars. ⭐️

5. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson

Would you believe it if I told you that this was the first ever Morgan Matson book I have ever read? It’s true! And I enjoyed every single minute of it. I rated it four stars. ⭐️

6. Cradle and All by James Patterson

Oh my goodness, okay, I hated this book 😭 a lot of my work colleagues read James Patterson so I thought I’d try it and I genuinely rated it two stars and that was pushing it…

the sad thing is that this had such a promising story line and it didn’t live up to my expectations. Oh well!

7. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME! Genuinely. I’ve never felt like this about a book for a long time. I loved the writing, the plot, the characters, the mystery, everything.

I gave this book five stars ⭐️ and I would’ve given it more if I could.

8. Ao Haru Ride by Io Sakisaka

There is a lot of hype surrounding this book and I did enjoy it. However, I think the relationship in it is very unhealthy? I don’t know. Anyway, I rated it four stars ⭐️ and I will continue on with the series.

That is all! These are the books I read recently. Thank you for reading!
