My Spooky October TBR!

Hello bookworms! My favourite months and seasons have arrived and I am ready to read some spooky books, I am so excited.

This is (once again) an overly ambitious TBR. There is no way that I will read all of these books, but I like to have a wide range to pick from as I am usually a mood reader and I usually rarely follow TBRs if I can help it. However, once again, it is my favourite time of the year and I am ready for spookiness! I am sorry that I’m 13 days late… I’m always fashionably late to things…

Anyway! Here are the books I’d like to read in the month of October:

The Mara Dyer trilogy by Michelle Hodkin

I read these books a couple of years ago and I remember really liking them. I also remember that they were so spooky so they’re perfect for this time of year! I’m currently reading the first book, and I am enjoying it a lot.

The Diviners by Libba Bray

This is a book that I’ve had on my TBR for a couple of months now. I finally found it in the UK and knew I had to buy it. However, I haven’t seen any of the other books in this series sold anywhere in the UK which I find odd. I’ll have to buy them online. I am excited to begin this series, though.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

I read this book a couple of months ago. I really enjoyed it but never continued on with the series, and I know that if I want to continue on I’d have to reread the first one which is my plan! I hope to read SJTR this month and then continue on.

Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I DNFd this book a couple of months ago but I really want to try it again. When I did read part of it, I found it really spooky and intriguing – perfect for October!

Never World Wake by Marissa Pessl

I have always wanted to read Night Film but I have never found it in any UK bookstore I have looked in. However I found Never World Wake so I picked it up. It seems so spooky and perfect for this time of year.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

I bought this book the other day after seeing it go around my bookish social medias and I’m excited to get into it.

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children trilogy by Ransom Riggs

Three_Books

I read the first book to this trilogy a couple of years ago but DNFd it due to me losing interest. However, I could see the potential in it so I kept it. A couple of years has passed and I’m ready to give it another go!

Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killeen

This is a historical fiction novel, but however appears really creepy. History was always my favourite lesson at school, and the only lesson I achieved an A* in. Because of this, I bought this book and I can’t wait to read it.

Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak

YES! I finally have my hands on Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak. The Book Thief is one of my favourite books of all time and Bridge of Clay was one of my highly anticipated books of the year. I can’t wait to read it.

That’s that! Those are the books I’d like to read in the rest of October – I can’t wait.

Thanks for reading,

  1. What a fun TBR! I read Neverworld Wake this year, and it was certainly one heck of a ride. I hope you enjoy it if you get to it!

  2. This is such a great list! I was going to put Stalking Jack the Ripper on my TBR this month but couldn’t find any room to squeeze it in, haha πŸ˜… I’ll probably get to it later on, though. And I’ve had The Diviners on my TBR for a while too, but I still haven’t gotten around to it yet.
